Summary:
The Scheduling Specialist works, under the direct supervision and in close collaboration with the Medical Receptionist Manager (MRM).
This position is responsible answering all incoming calls providing exceptional customer service.
This position will schedule patients for all across all clinics within the health center.
Scheduler will use their knowledge and scheduling tools to meet the patient's appointment needs in an accurate and timely manner.
This position will perform outreach scheduling calls as assigned and when call volume is low.
Outreach is done to ensure patients are following up on chronic conditions, preventative services and connecting with their assigned PCP as identified by the clinical teams.
This position is responsible for assisting patients in preparing to connect electronically for their upcoming telehealth appointment.
Specialist will reach out to patients and assess their ability to connect with MEND.
Specialist will educate patient on connection process and connect with them on test visit connections prior to their scheduled appointment.
This position actively participates in special activities of the Department and is expected to rotate and cover as a medical receptionist when needed.
It is expected that the individual will work within the program directives of the funding source, within the philosophical framework set by the Board of Directors, and within the existing network of community services providers and natural helpers.
EDUCATION /
Experience:
1.
High School Diploma or equivalent 2.
Experience using a practice management system 3.
1 year experience working in a medical setting preferred An Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
